欧洲杯在线投注Following approval from the governing body, the MCRCB, The Bennetts British Superbikes calendar has been revised and the Silverstone round originally planned for 10 – 12 April has now been rescheduled and will be a triple header event, taking place on 4 – 6 September. The regular supporting championships consisting of the Quattro Group British Supersport/GP2, British Talent Cup, Pirelli National Superstock, HEL Performance Junior Supersport, Ducati TriOptions Cup and Molson Group British Sidecars will also feature across the revised calendar of events.
Current Government guidance for Coronavirus only allows us to hold our events ‘behind closed doors’ and as I’m sure you will appreciate, the welfare of everyone involved in putting on the race meeting including teams, support personnel, marshals and Silverstone team is our priority, so the Series Organisers and Silverstone have made the difficult decision to run this event without fans.

The 2020 British Grand Prix MotoGP has been cancelled. See below for full statement:
As promised, I am writing to let you know the latest regarding the 2020 British Grand Prix MotoGP™ at Silverstone.
It is with the deepest of regret we are letting you know the 2020 round of the MotoGP™ world championship, due to be held at Silverstone on August 28 – 30, will not be going ahead.
欧洲杯在线投注Despite months of work behind-the-scenes to try and make this key event happen, logistical restrictions under the current situation, combined with a shortened and rearranged MotoGP™ calendar, has caused the cancellation of the event.
欧洲杯在线投注Our obligations to protect the health and safety of everyone involved in preparing and delivering the event, our volunteer marshals and Race Makers, and of course, the amazing fans, means this is the best, safest and only decision to be made.
欧洲杯在线投注The global Coronavirus pandemic has been an enormous challenge for the UK and Silverstone and I wish to thank all of you for your patience during this time.

Motorsport UK has announced that it is anticipating that motorsport can restart from 4th欧洲杯在线投注 July. Any resumption of motorsport is contingent on Motorsport UK guidelines being followed, while respecting government guidance on social distancing.
The motorsport organising body has confirmed that no national or British championship events will take place in July to reduce potential national and international travel, but that this excludes FIA championships, which allows the potential opportunity for the Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix 2020 to take place. There will be a number of caveats of Motorsport UK granting event permits, including that event organisers commit that their events will be held behind closed doors and that appropriate PPE requirements are met.
欧洲杯在线投注At the current time and in line with government guidance and Motorsport UK regulations, Silverstone remains closed to the public. However, there is limited track activity, with exclusive testing taking place. As a phased reopening of the circuit continues semi exclusive testing and track days will resume from July onwards, with a revised racing calendar from August, as long as government guidance at that time and Motorsport UK regulations allows this.
欧洲杯在线投注As always, the priority for the business is to ensure the welfare of any personnel at the venue, both customers and the Silverstone team, so any activity will be conducted with all the necessary enhanced health and safety measures mandated by government for the COVID-19 pandemic. Strict social distancing and hygiene measures will be outlined and all customers will need to adhere to the policies in place to deliver the safest possible activities.

British GT announces revised nine-race 2020 calendar with finale for Silverstone.
The Intelligent Money British GT Championship has a new provisional 2020 calendar with Silverstone now hosting the Championship’s showpiece event and season finale on 7/8 November, the three hour Silverstone 500 race. It will be the first time that Silverstone has been the final event of the British GT season. Sadly, Supercar Sunday will not be a feature of this year’s event. The Silverstone round was due to take place on 6/7 June and due to the coronavirus pandemic British GT has rescheduled a number of races including this event.
All dates remain subject to government and Motorsport UK measures covering the resumption of sporting events. The revised calendar will be amended accordingly if British GT is unable to begin its 2020 campaign in August.
欧洲杯在线投注Government-led Motorsport UK guidelines, which are expected to be published soon, will also determine under what scenarios races are held, and the extent to which public and team personnel might be limited. British GT organisers, SRO, will work closely with circuits and organising clubs to implement Motorsport UK’s scenarios, which could necessitate changes to some current regulations and procedures. These changes cover, but are not limited to, driver sign-on and briefings, scrutineering, parc fermé, driver changes and pitstops, podiums, media and hospitality.

Joint Statement from Formula 1 and Silverstone:
欧洲杯在线投注Silverstone and Formula 1 remain in close dialogue regarding the ongoing situation and are assessing the feasibility of holding the British Grand Prix on 17th – 19th July. We fully appreciate that other UK sporting events in July have taken decisions regarding their events, but it is important to highlight that their logistics and sporting arrangements differ from Silverstone’s and, therefore, our timeline gives us until the end of April to make a final decision. The safety of our fans, colleagues and the F1 community will be our priority and we will continue to engage with the appropriate authorities.

欧洲杯在线投注We’re all in this together. None of us yet know when restrictions will be lifted and we can return to the track. But we promise all our loyal fans we’ll do so just as soon as we can, with a wonderful programme of great racing at the home of British Motor Racing.
We thank all of our fans, organisers, marshals, race makers and staff for their understanding and support during these unprecedented times.

A LETTER FROM STUART PRINGLE
欧洲杯在线投注‘I am writing to give an update on where we stand with our forthcoming events at Silverstone as the country continues to battle against the Coronavirus.
欧洲杯在线投注This week, it has been announced by the sports’ governing bodies that all motorsport has been suspended in the UK to the end of April 2020 to support the British Government in its efforts to contain the spread of this virus.
Many of you have booked tickets for our events later this summer including the Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix and MotoGP and I fully appreciate you want to understand if these events will take place.
欧洲杯在线投注The truth is, like so many other international sporting events scheduled to take place around the world, we cannot predict what the situation will be by the time we get to the summer months. However, I can wholeheartedly promise you that everyone at Silverstone, Formula 1 and MotoGP are doing all they possibly can to ensure we can run these events on their planned dates in July (F1) and August (MotoGP).
In fact, as Formula 1’s CEO Chase Carey has stated, Formula 1 and the FIA do not expect to begin the Championship in Europe until after May although this is regularly being reviewed.
I would like to reassure our fans that, should we be forced to cancel either Grand Prix, all customers who have purchased a ticket will be given the option of a full refund.
We will, of course, continue to keep you updated as the situation in the UK evolves and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and patience in what is an extremely difficult time for everyone.
Most importantly, I do hope you and your family members are safe at this worrying time.’
